Some diets aren’t really as “healthy” as they claim to be

Having health challenges? If so, you’ve probably arrived here because you’re scuffling for a diet that best suits not just your health conditions, but also your taste.

There are many diets, good and bad. Each is made for a different kind of person, made to treat a different issue or ailment… some based on real proven scientific principles, while others are just hypey and lucrative, to where you could even call it unethical, or worse yet, fraudulent. A- run by a father and son team goes over the different types of health diets and how they can be beneficial and harmful to different types of people.

That website is a great repository for high-quality information. Before you go ahead and dive in there, we’d like to give you the general concept and some examples of diets that are promoted as having great health benefits, yet are deceptive – either that, or they were devised by people who don’t have a great understanding of human health.

The Fallacy of ‘Gluten-Free’

Take the mega-fad gluten free diet, for instance.

Gluten-free food is a multi-multi-billion dollar international industry. However, it isn’t as much of a lifesaver as many people think.

When you look up ‘Gluten-Free Diet’ on Google, inspect the results that come up on page 1. When you see articles with names like ‘The Dangers of Going Gluten-Free,’ you’ll find that you aren’t alone. There are people actively questioning this fad diet’s usefulness all around the world.

Here’s the catch: gluten is found in wheat and related grains, including oats. The irony is, a gluten-free diet does not completely eliminate the problems that gluten causes… it fails to eliminate foods that contain gluten-like properties.

Oats. Potatoes. Chickpeas. Corn. You name it.

Some of the foods we just named are high in the one thing that causes fat, puffy rice to stick together: starch. It’s a ‘complex carbohydrate’, which is more challenging than normal for the digestive system to process.

Weight Loss, One of the World’s Most Saturated Industries

If you’re not feeling good about your body, chances are it’s because you’ve consumed one too many Big Macs. It’s easier to gain weight than it is to lose it.

Further complicating things is the level of saturation and misinformation of the weight loss industry. Because it’s so profitable, a lot of business people have tried to ‘get rich quick’ by selling the hell out of programs that promise super-fast and easy weight loss. A lot of these programs are not backed by real scientific evidence.

Some scientifically-backed weight loss diets can greatly contrast one another. One way to do it is eat bland… but that’s not so delicious, is it? Another is the more excitingketogenic diet, which is low on carbs and stocks you up on healthy fats to energize your body.

‘Which diet should I pick’?

The options are endless. It’s up to you to look for the information online…on sites like a- in particular…and decide.
